Advocacy Service Disclaimer 

The USASA Advocacy Officer’s role is to provide independent, free, and confidential advice and support to UniSA students. Advocates are not ‘decision makers’ in a student case regarding all matters including complaints and appeals. 

Your case will be treated with upmost confidence at all times, except:

• When, in the opinion of the Advocacy Officer, there may be danger to yourself or others.
• When, you (the student client) give permission to share with the relevant UniSA staff.

Inappropriate behaviours will not be tolerated as per our conditions of service including:

• Violent, aggressive, threatening or abusive conduct (physical, verbal or written).
• Physical or psychological harassment 
• Gender or racial discrimination 

For the Advocacy Officers to provide the best service, please bring the following documents if appropriate:

• A copy of your Academic History 
• Copies of emails in regard to the matter 
• Medical Certificates/racial discrimination
